X-Rays: A Critical Tool for

Modern Veterinary Diagnostics

Exclusively Cats Veterinary Hospital, Waterford, MI - Feline X-rays and Radiological studies

Exclusively Cats Veterinary Hospital considers the use of  radiograph technology to be a critical tool for modern diagnostic procedures. Radiographs, which are commonly known as X-rays, are used to evaluate injuries and conditions that require more than external examination. Radiology equipment gives us a non-invasive way to observe your cat's internal anatomy so that we can provide a more thorough and accurate diagnosis. Our veterinarians use radiographs to detect bone fractures, bladder and kidney stones, tumors, soft tissue problems (those related to the heart, stomach, intestines, reproductive, and urinary systems) as well as to locate swallowed foreign objects such as toys or strings.

The imaging procedure is completely painless and the basic radiographic study can be performed on calm and cooperative pets wExclusively Cats Veterinary Hospital, Waterford, MI - Feline Dental Radiographyith out sedation. Your veterinarian may administer a sedative or general anesthesia in cases where a cat has trouble becoming fully relaxed naturally. In addition, some more specialized contrast studies may require the addition of an anesthetic.

Your pet may have to stay with us through the day if X-rays are necessary. However, we can often have X-rays taken immediately and have the information we need in urgent situations.
